Description

Sori in leaves and glumes as flat black amphigenous or slightly swollen spots to 10 mm long.

Spores rather firmly adhering together, angular-globose to ellipsoidal, 8–16 (–18) × 8–13 µm, blackish brown; wall 2–4 µm thick, smooth.
