Description

Sori in leaves as scattered amphigenous subcircular yellow to pale yellowish brown spots, 0.5–3 mm diam., more clearly visible on the abaxial surface.

Spores embedded in the host tissue, solitary, globose, subglobose to broadly ellipsoidal, 7.5–13.0 × 7–12 µm, subhyaline; wall uniformly thin, to 0.5 µm, smooth; contents homogenous. Conidia not seen.
