Puccinia lophatheri (Syd. & P. Syd.) Hirats. f.
Description
Uredinia on both leaf surfaces, subepidermal, erumpent, linear to round, reddish brown, peridium present.
Urediniospores globose, subglobose to obovoid, apex obtuse, yellowish brown, 21-24 × 18-21 µm; wall 2.0 µm thick, echinulate, with 2-3, equatorial germ pores.
Telia formed from uredinia on lower leaf surface, subepidermal, erumpent, linear to dome-shaped, reddish brown to black, peridium present.
Teliospores diorchidioid, apex rounded, 2 celled, reddish brown, 24-32 × 19-25 µm; wall 4-6 µm thick, smooth, persistent pedicel up to 30 µm.
