Phragmidium rubi-thunbergii Kusano

Description
Uredinia on lower leaf surface, subepidermal, erumpent, round to irregular, yellow; paraphyses intrasoral, cylindrical to incurved, hyaline, 28-30 × 8-10 µm; wall 0.5-1.0 µm thick.

Urediniospores globose, subglobose to obovoid, apex obtuse, subhyaline, 16-22 × 15-18 µm; wall 1.0 µm thick, verruculose.

Telia on lower leaf surface, black.

Teliospores cylindrical to clavate, apex rounded, 3-4 or more cells, reddish brown, 42-74 × 23-26 µm; wall 2-4 µm thick, slightly thickened at apex, smooth, with persistent pedicel, laminate, up to 41 µm.

Basidiospores globose, 10-11 × 9-10 µm.
