Description
Uredinia abaxial, on yellow circular to irregular spots with diffuse margins that often coalesce and have centres that become necrotic, supepidermal, erumpent, opening by a central pore, mostly in groups, dome shaped, about 200 µm diam., yellowish brown or becoming dark brown, peridium present, paraphyses peripheral, clavate or capitate, hyaline or yellowish-brown, up to 10-40 µm, mostly 8-10 µm.
Urediniospores subglobose to broadly ellipsoidal, subhyaline, 18-27 µm × 17-24 µm; wall 1.0-1.5 µm thick, densely and minutely echinulate, germ pore absent or inconspicuous.
